A Tale of Three Sellers
Prospective home sellers can go on the internet and get really good advice from numerous experts. What the articles and respective experts do not address is the individual home seller’s needs.Screen Shot 2018-11-08 at 12.46.16 PM

Motivation varies greatly in that department, and sellers need a Realtor who addresses the specific situations and has a solution for each one.

Seller # 1: “Make me an offer and I will think about moving”. The seller has read Zillow and is ready to deal, just as long as some fool comes around and offers 10% above market.

Seller # 2: The stance is typically “I will not sell under xxx dollars” or “I will only sell if I can….” . This seller actually thinks about moving, fantasizes about it and hopes for it, regardless of the market place and whether it supports his or her scenario.

Seller # 3: This seller wants to sell and carefully evaluates what needs to happen in order to sell at the best possible price and terms. He or she evaluates the market conditions with the Realtor and works on property condition or price to attain a timely offer and favorable terms. These sellers need an agent who understands the underlying motivation for selling and works to accomplish the client’s goal.
